Fredrik asked me to write a biography over the 2XM story, a big honour for me, indeed. So my first question is, where to begin?

In the early nineties a schoolmate was experimenting in the electronic field together with another guy (who showed to be Fredrik!).At the same time I had been playing with a couple of other bands which didn't work out so well, so for the moment I had a lot of ideas but on idle run, lacking other interested members to build a band.

The schoolmate then suddenly asked me if we could just for the fun have a common session, they needed somebody to sing he said. We got together soon after that and started to merge our creativity.

The music was danceable light electronic music, comparable with the ´83 version of Depeche Mode (it's hard to come around without mentioning DM in conjunction with influences, idols, musical maturing etc). We found a very creative way to explore the fields of music directly and 2XM was born, but we first used several other band names which you can read about further down.
